Hello everyone! I am so grateful that you have taken interest in the site I'd like to start with a quote that perfectly captures the heart of the abortion issue: "The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion, because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between." -Mother Teresa So why are we pro-life? Why should we be pro-life? And what does being pro-life even mean? Why are we pro-life? Because we are advocates of peace and from what does peace ensue? LOVE: a love for ourselves, a love for our neighbor, a love for our country, and a love for our world. We love the baby in the womb. We love the mother suddenly finding herself in an unplanned pregnancy. We love the country that is constantly overwhelmed with the culture of death. We love our world that is suffering from an estimated 40-50 million abortions per year. Love is at the heart of the pro-life movement because love is the only thing that will bring happiness and joy, and we know that abortion is not an act of love and does not bring happiness and joy. So why are we pro-life? Because we love. We care. Why should we be pro-life? Ask yourself this question. If you had been given the opportunity to free the slaves in America or save the 6 million Jews from the Holocaust, would you have? Hopefully, your answer would be YES, of course! Well, today, an estimated 3,500 babies die from abortion in the United States EVERY DAY, and YOU are being given the chance to make a difference...because every single person has the ability to make a difference. So the question remains, will you take up that opportunity? If so, there are thousands out there ready to support you, help you, and pray for you! Being pro-life has it's challenges but the reward of defending life from the moment of conception until natural death trumps those challenges every time. What does being pro-life even mean? I might be a little merciless here, but I don't believe you can call yourself pro-life unless you act on your pro-life beliefs. To me, being pro-life means taking action, even if it is simply praying for the poor babies dying today or the mothers suffering from their abortions. Being pro-life means respecting everyone and seeing their inherent human dignity as persons. It means listening, establishing relationships based on love and respect with advocates of abortion. Being pro-life is a blessing!
